Role of serum calprotectin in diagnosis of inflammatory bowel diseases in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (preliminary results)

Abstract: Background. Patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) often have lesions of the musculoskeletal system, which is an extra-intestinal manifestation and mainly belongs to the group of seronegative spondyloarthritis (SPA). Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is one of the main forms of diseases from the group of spondyloarthritis, associated with IBD.
