Abstract:Contact fatigue is the main failure model for bearing systems in steel rolling mills. Characterizing the degree of contact fatigue damage is important for predicting its operating life. In this paper, the X-ray diffraction method (XRD) is used to measure the residual stress state and the diffraction peak width (FWHM, full width at half maximum) of six samples with different degrees of contact fatigue failure.
