Room Temperature based Fan Speed Control System using Pulse Width Modulation Technique

Abstract: This paper presents the design and simulation of a novel fan speed control system based on room temperature using Pulse width Modulation Technique. The duty cycle is made to vary according to the room temperature and the fan speed is controlled accordingly. This paper elucidates how the autonomous speed control of fan is done based on data from the temperature sensor. The design proposed here is appropriate according to the modern lifestyle. The simulation of the system has been done on Proteus Professional So… Show more

“…Figure 9 were carried out to evaluate sensor sensitivity, PWM fan drive effectiveness, and durability. A major issue that has arisen was due to the frequency of PWM signals, which according to literatures [16][17][18] may lead to noises, vibration, or even damage to the motor if the frequency is not properly configured and falls in resonance with the mechanical parts.…”

“…The amplified PWM signal then goes to two large power P75NF75 MOSFET chips, parallelly connected to reduce the heat as in Figure 4. The motor current goes through the MOSFET before grounding; thus the PWM signal eventually controls the shut-off and switch-on of MOSFET and hence the motor current, which controls fan speed according to PWM theories [16][17][18].…”

“…Microcontrollers are employed in large number of applications requiring precision and accuracy. These applications include photocopier machines, smart toys, automated industrial robots and other intelligent systems [4][5][6][7]. Various code protection schemes specified by the manufacturer of the microcontroller are used to prevent inadvertent or deliberate reading and reproduction of the code contained in the microcontroller.…”

“…Along with the switches an alarm is provided to alert the voter and telling them that their votes has been cast successfully. Although these types of voting machines are commonly used in India but it is not much efficient as it does not have the function of including the people for casting the votes remotely without actually moving towards the poll booth [2][3][4]. Therefore, the main purpose of this paper is to introduce a new polling machine that has a facility of including the people who can cast their votes wirelessly by sitting at their homes or offices.…”
