Abstract:Background: Atrial fibrillation with rapid ventricular response (Afib-RVR) is a hemodynamically unstable arrythmia encountered in the critically ill patient. Digoxin, a cardiac glycoside, may be an appropriate treatment option for managing Afib-RVR with contraindications or unresponsiveness to traditional agents.
