Abstract:Safety pharmacology is defined as the subdivision of pharmacology that investigates the potentially undesirable pharmacodynamic effects on physiological functions in relation to exposure in the therapeutic range and above in determining whether and how (dose regime, subject selection) a new drug can be administered safely to human subjects.
