“…With extreme temperatures and rainfall, decreased water availability, and changes in soil quality, , climate change is the most pressing issue confronting humanity today. These effects will have an impact on agricultural productivity and will make it more difficult for plants to grow and thrive globally. , Human actions are the primary cause of climatic fluctuations that are distinct throughout decades to millennia, according to ref . Since plants are subjected to a variety of abiotic pressures, reactions are more complicated and many stress pathways overlap, making plant responses to abiotic stresses dynamic, complex, and both elastic and plastic .…”

“…Plants experience a variety of biotic and abiotic stresses throughout their lives, including pathogen infestations, water shortages, , salts , and heavy metals, nutrient imbalance, and light disturbance, all of which can significantly reduce the yield of many crops around the world. Among them, salinity stress is one of the major constraints that caused substantial damage during plant growth and development that ultimately resulted in reduced crop yields. , Under saline stress environments, the higher accumulation of highly soluble salts resulted in altered plants’ physiological and biochemical mechanisms, contributing to heavy yield losses, whereas the severity of soil salinization is heavily dependent on the soil composition and several environmental factors, i.e., light and plant species. The common responses of plants during saline stress include the inhibition of plant growth, disruption of photosynthetic machinery, alterations in structural composition, exclusion of ions, osmotic readjustments, and modifications in nutrient imbalances.…”

“…Osmotic stress severely affects plants during their life cycle; it results in leaf chlorosis and antioxidant’s imbalance . However, reduction in growth depends upon the duration and the severity of stress. In this connection, many scientific studies have concluded that osmotic stress hampers the growth of leaves, stems, roots, and total plant dry mass. , …”
