“…The potential for treatment-related toxicity may be even higher in the setting of locally recurrent disease. Overall, the crude rate of serious complications (Grade $3) was 11% (4/37) in our study, which is lower than the rates published in some (3,9,12) but not all (10,13,14) recent salvage BT series with median follow-up ranging from 30 to 64 months. Men with a history of PLND had a higher risk of Grade $2 toxicity, indicating that careful patient selection could help improve the toxicity profile after salvage BT in the future.…”
