Sarcoma Care Collaborations: Models for patient centered sub-specialty oncology care in the COVID-19 era and beyond

Abstract: Sarcomas are a group of rare cancers that often require sub-specialty multidisciplinary opinion for appropriate management. Partnerships between referral sarcoma centers and community providers are critical for ensuring access to evidence-based care across multiple care settings. Herein, we discuss sarcoma specific considerations for academic-community partnerships across the cancer care spectrum and how these relationships have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
