Abstract:The advancement of information technology (IT) observed during the last years, in parallel with important changes in the epidemiology of diseases, with the increase of non-communicable diseases, including chronic kidney disease (CKD). Patients and their families need to better understand the disease, to develop selfcare skills and adhere to treatment. The aim of this study is to describe the use of IT strategies in the context of CKD.
