Abstract:It is demonstrated that the use of a Micrometric Thin 39 K vapor Cell (MTC) and Saturated Absorption spectroscopy (SA) allows to form narrow atomic lines in transmission spectrum without unwanted Cross-Over (CO) resonances. Another important feature is the small characteristic magnetic field value B 0 = A hf /µ B of 39 K, significantly smaller than for Rb and Cs. As a consequence, decoupling of J and I can be observed at relatively low magnetic fields ∼300 G, which results in the formation of two groups of fou… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
