Abstract: RESUMOTema: a Síndrome da Imunodeficiência Adquirida (SIDA/AIDS) é causada pelo Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana (VIH/HIV), e resulta numa imunidade reduzida, o que torna o indivíduo mais susceptível a doenças e infecções oportunistas. Com o avanço da doença as estruturas do sistema auditivo central podem ser comprometidas pela ação direta do vírus ou decorrente de infecções secundárias e neoplasias.
