“…In studies conducted by Joshi et al, stress concentration in isotropic and orthotropic plates under uniaxial and biaxial loading was investigated [31,32]. In both papers, they studied the effects of two key parameters rotation angle of cutouts and bluntness parameters on the amount of stress concentration.…”

“…Several studies on the SCF in circular holes in thin and thick plates Newman, 1992, 1995) subjected to uniaxial and biaxial loading (Wu and Mu, 2003) in isotropic Optimization of the strain concentration factor 537 and orthotropic plate systems (Kotousov et al, 2010;Kotousov and Wang, 2002;Li et al, 2000;Berto et al, 2004;She and Guo, 2007) were conducted. The transverse analysis, in terms of displacements and stresses, of isotropic and orthotropic plates with central squared (Kalita et al, 2015) and triangular (Jadvani et al, 2017a) cutouts under uniaxial (Kalita et al, 2015;Jadvani et al, 2017a) and biaxial loads (Joshi et al, 2017) was also discussed. Other studies that consider SCF in elliptical holes and other types stress risers are also available in literature (Enab, 2014;Kumar et al, 2016;Jadvani et al, 2017b;Zhou and Fei, 2017).…”
