Screening for Sulfur Compounds by Molybdenum-Catalyzed Oxidation Combined with Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry

Abstract: The molybdenum (Mo)-catalyzed oxidation of sulfide under neutral conditions yields sulfone. This reaction proceeds more smoothly than olefin epoxidation and primary or secondary alcohol oxidation.
