Abstract:Shoot flies (Diptera: Muscidae) of Atherigona spp. are the major insect pests in several cereals and millets causing significant yield loss. Usually, bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is less attacked by insect pest, however under changed climate-pest scenario, shoot fly has become a major insect pest.
