Scrub typhus in pregnancy: A report of two cases

Abstract: Scrub typhus shows a high prevalence in South-East Asia. In pregnant females, it can cause both maternal and fetal adverse outcomes. We report a case series of two women with scrub typhus and their varied outcomes. A 25-year-old primigravida treated for scrub typhus at 23 weeks' gestation presented at 34 weeks with stage three fetal growth restriction (FGR). Caesarean delivery was performed.
