Search for the neutral Higgs bosons of the MSSM and other two-doublet models

Abstract: Large radiative corrections modify the predictions of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model (MSSM) sufficiently for the constraints on this model, formerly derived from the searches for the CP-even h and for the CP-odd A neutral Higgs bosons, to be invalidated. In particular, the new h->AA decay mode has to be considered. The results presented here have been obtained from a data sample corresponding to about 185000 hadronic Z decays collected by the ALEPH experiment at LEP. No indication f… Show more

“…We obtain as our final measurement: Za = 0.121 ± 0.017 + 0.006, which is in agreement with the measurements from counting and the four-dimensional fit, as well as with our previous measurement [7] and measurements from other LEP experiments [9,10 ].…”

“…X B = J~X~ + f~s, whereX~ andXs are the mixing parameters and J~ and f~ are the production fractions ofB ° and B ° mesons. Previous measurements of the X 8 parameter have been made at proton colliders [1][2][3] and at e+e -colliders at the T(4S) [4][5][6] as well as at the Z ° [7][8][9][10]. At the Y(4S) no Bs ° mesons are produced, thus allowing a direct measurement of X dIn a previous paper the L3 Collaboration reported a measurement ofB°-B ° mixing [ 7 ].…”

“…This might have been feasible for light σt 1 and light h at the tevatron collider. Unfortunately the lower bound on m h from Higgs searches at LEP [45] excludes this possibility for σt 1 light enough to be produced at the tevatron. The τ + τ + τ − τ − SM background is much larger at supercollider energies, making it considerably more difficult to observe a σt 1 signal in this channel.…”
