Abstract:We report on theoretical study of second-harmonic generation (SHG) in plasmonic nanostructures interacting with two-level quantum emitters (QE) under incoherent energy pump. We generalize driven-dissipative Tavis-Cummings model by introducing anharmonic surface-plasmon mode coupled to QEs and examine physical properties of corresponding polariton modes. Subsequent calculations of the SHG efficiency for strong QE-plasmon coupling demonstrates orders of magnitude enhancement due to polariton gain. We further dis… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
