Abstract: Introduction: Acute metabolic crises in inborn errors of metabolism (such as Urea Cycle Disorders, Organic Acidemia, Maple Syrup Urine Disease and Mitochondrial disorders) are neurological emergencies requiring management in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
