“…In the same way, Shah et al (2017) [55] have also intercalated the poly (amido amine) dendrimer in a mica and a montmorillonite, being efficient only in the latter case. The presence of the dendrimer enhances the CO 2 adsorption capacity; however, the strength of the interaction between the dendrimer and CO 2 also increases, so that the regeneration of the adsorbent requires more severe conditions [55,56].…”

“…1,2,11,12 PAMAM or carbosilane dendrimers can be used to accomplish such developments by adsorbing to surfaces via "graing to" or "graing from" [13][14][15][16][17][18][19] procedures. The formation of PAMAM monolayers on solids has been discussed by Crooks and others, 20,21 and a polyphenylene dendrimer monolayer formed using the electrospray method has been reported recently. [22][23][24] Despite progress in the development of dendrimer-modied sorbents, information on specic surface areas (SSAs) of dendrimers in the solid state is very limited.…”

“…Different types of dendrimeric molecules have already been grafted on to silica, and a few examples of dendrimers used for trapping CO 2 have been recently presented: the use of poly(propyleneimine) (PPI) dendrimers included but not grafted on to silica for trapping CO 2 during the purification of gases and for CO 2 capture, and the use of polyol hyperbranched polymers in Mg/Al hydroxides for the reversible trapping of CO 2 . PAMAM dendrimers bound to organoclays, PPI dendrimers intercalated inside graphite oxide, triazine dendrimers alone or triazine dendrons grafted on to silica have also been proposed for trapping CO 2 .…”
