An efficient synthesis is used for the first time to prepare CaCu3Ti4−xWxO12 (x = 0.01, 0.03, and 0.05) electroceramics for energy storage capacitors. CaCu3Ti4−xWxO12 ceramics are synthesized via flame synthesis of metal nitrates precursors in nonaqueous solution using cheap, stable, and insoluble solid TiO2 powder. The pathway yielded a CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) phase with the traces of CuO and CaTiO3 sintered at 1050°C for 30 h. The SEM micrograph shows the grains with smooth surfaces associated with cubical appearance and the size range of 1.5–7, 2.0–7.5, and 2.0–8.0 μm for CCTWO01, CCTWO03, and CCTWO05, respectively. The EDX and XPS analyses show the presence of Ca, Cu, Ti, W, and O elements confirming the purity of these ceramics. The complex impedance and modulus (M) spectroscopy show that the dielectric constant (εr) values of the W‐doped CCTO were dominantly affected by the electrical properties of the grain boundary, which is also evident from the SEM micrographs. The grain‐boundary resistance decreased with increasing tungsten content. The activation energies for the grain boundaries were calculated from the impedance and modulus data using the slope of the ln τ versus 1/T and were found to be in the range 0.62–0.67 eV.

In this study, the capability of the prepared polyaniline-coated Fe(3) O(4) nanoparticles for magnetic solid-phase extraction of three parabens from environmental wastewater, cream, and toothpaste samples is presented. Synthesized Fe(3) O(4) nanoparticles were coated with sulfate-doped polyaniline via polymerization of aniline in the presence of Fe(3) O(4) nanoparticles and sulfuric acid. Here, polyaniline-coated Fe(3) O(4) nanoparticles are presented as anion exchange sorbent, which extract anionic form of parabens via anion exchange with dopant of polyaniline. The experimental conditions affecting extraction efficiency were further studied and optimized. The experimental results showed that maximum extraction efficiency can be obtained at 70 mL sample solution of pH 8, extraction and desorption times of 2 and 1 min, respectively, 100 μL of 3% (v/v) acetic acid in acetonitrile as eluent, and 100 mg of the adsorbent. Under these conditions, the linear dynamic ranges were 0.5-100 μg/L with good correlation coefficients (0.998-0.999). The detection limits were in the range of 0.3-0.4 μg/L and the relative standard deviations were less than 2.4 (n = 5) for the three parabens. Finally, this fast and efficient method was further employed for determination of target analytes in cream, toothpaste, and environmental wastewater samples and satisfactory results were obtained.

A waterborne polyurethane-acrylic hybrid polymeric dye was prepared depending on soap-free emulsion polymerization method. The resulting polymeric dye composed of methyl methacrylate (MMA) monomer which was polymerized into polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) as cores and waterborne polyurethane-based dye was synthesized by anchoring dye monomers (6-amino-2-cyclohexylbenz[de]isoquinone-1,3-dione) to polyurethane chains as shells. The average particle sizes of the hybrid polymeric dye emulsions were found to be increased with the increase in MMA contents for MMA monomers. Compared with dye monomers, the absorption intensities and fluorescence intensities of the hybrid polymeric dye were enhanced with the increase of particle sizes. This study revealed that enhanced fluorescence intensity of the hybrid polymeric dye was mainly attributed to the hindered formation of exciplexes among dye monomers and an augmented light absorption area. It was found that the fluorescence intensity of the hybrid polymeric dye was increased with increasing temperature and the trend first increased and then decreased with increase in concentration. Furthermore, the fluorescence of the hybrid polymeric dye emulsions was found to be very stable and not sensitive to the fluorescence quencher.
