Semi-Decentralized Interference Aware Scheduling in D2D-Enabled Cellular Networks

Abstract: We investigate the problem of semi-decentralized, interference aware scheduling in a cellular network with Device-to-Device (D2D) links. Our goal is an algorithm that allows optimal resource allocation and power control in spite of mutual interference from and to D2D links, as well as the creation of a reporting structure that is independent of the exact optimization goal and D2D modes. To achieve this, we formulate an interference aware scheduling problem with general rate-utility and generalized reuse constr… Show more

“…The study done in [31] was on resource sharing in D2D based systems, [32] investigated D2D system using joint spectrum and power assignment for both central and distributed techniques for resource allocation. Similarly, [33] proposed a semi-decentralized approach to maximize the sum rate considering interference. The MEC and D2D are essential technologies for offloading the high data rate traffic from the central network.…”

“…Yu et al [8] proposed both centralized and distributed link scheduling algorithms under Rayleigh-Fading model. Besides, a semi-decentralized interference aware scheduling problem for a D2D-enabled cellular network is investigated in [9]. On the other hand, a series of machine learning based works deal with D2D link scheduling.…”
