Abstract:Rainfall in East Asia is affected by two rain‐bearing systems: tropical cyclones and monsoon‐related frontal systems. Distinguishing typhoon rainfall (TR) and non‐typhoon rainfall (non‐TR) helps to understand the evolution process of regional rainfall at different timescales.
