Abstract:Background: Forebrain embryonic zinc finger-like (FEZL) gene is an important candidate associated with mastitis resistance in dairy cattle. FEZL is involved in transcriptional regulation of neuronal development and there exists a crosstalk between neuronal development and immunity via downstream cytokine expression.
