Serum analysis method combining cellulose acetate membrane purification with surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy for non‐invasive HBV screening

Abstract: A highly sensitive, non-invasive, and rapid HBV (Hepatitis B virus) screening method combining membrane protein purification with silver nanoparticle-based surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy was developed in this study. Reproducible serum protein SERS spectra were obtained from cellulose acetate membrane-purified human serum from 94 HBV patients and 89 normal groups. Tentative assignments of serum protein SERS spectra showed that the HBV patients primarily led to specific biomedical changes … Show more

“…The analysis groups were set up as follows: (1) normoxia control pregnancy group, (2) pregnancy-induced hypertension group, and (3) treprostinil treatment group [ 14 ]. Blood samples for TNF- α and IL-6 were collected from the heart and stored at -80°C.…”

“…For detecting HBV and HCV infections serum samples are well suited [5,175,176]. Several studies exist using either Raman spectroscopy [155,175,[177][178][179][180][181][182] or SERS [176,183] for discriminating between healthy and infected patients. From Raman spectra of serum samples also a differentiation between typhoid and dengue fever can be achieved [184].…”
