Abstract:Background: Hepcidin is a polypeptide hormone as regulator of iron homeostasis, and it plays an important role of functional iron deficiency in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) which associated with hemodialysis (HD) because of defective erythropoiesis in CKD.
