Abstract: Serum melatonin concentrations in coronary heart disease patients with hypercholesterolaemiaThis investigation was undertaken to determine the serum melatonin concentrations in coronary heart disease patients (CHD) with hypercholesterolaemia. Hypercholesterolaemia is a contributing factor to atherogenesis in CHD. Melatonin suppresses cholesterol synthesis.
