Severe Metrorrhagia Caused by Giant Cervical Polyp in a Virgin

Abstract: Background: Huge cervical polyps are rarely encountered in gynecologic practice. A cervical polyp is a growth arising from the mucosal surface of the ectocervix or the endocervical canal. A cervical polyp may be the result of infection, an abnormal response to increased levels of estrogen, and local congestion of cervical vessels.
