Severity Scoring System to Predict the Necessity of Regular Transfusion among Patients with Hemoglobin H

Abstract: Background: Hemoglobin H (HbH) is usually recognized as mild thalassemia. However, a wide range of clinical manifestations, from fatal hydrops fetalis to asymptomatic mild anemia, is observed.
