Abstract:Summary
The male and the female choice methods were utilized to study sexual isolation among mutants and wild‐type D. melanogaster.
D. melanogaster Cy/Pm and Cy/Bl showed significant preference for their own type when the other individual was a wild‐type D. melanogaster. When the wild‐type was made to choose between Cy/Pm and wild‐type and between Cy/Bl and wild‐type, it showed randomness in the first case but preferred its own type in the second case. The controls always showed randomness.
