Shadow banking: a bibliometric and content analysis

Abstract: This study reports on our systematic review of 2008–2021 literature on shadow banking. We present an overview of the shadow banking sector, wherein we discuss the definitions, evolution, functions, and specific activities that comprise it. “…How to make reasonable policy optimization and adjustment on the basis of scientific evaluation of existing policies, so as to achieve the synergistic development of industry evolution and policy formulation [17], is the focus of attention of government departments and the majority of cross-border e-commerce participants. In view of this, the author applies the Policy Modeling Consistency (PMC) and text mining methods to construct a cross-border e-commerce policy evaluation index system and conducts an empirical study using the national cross-border e-commerce policies promulgated by the Chinese government between 2014 and 2017 as a sample, in order to provide theoretical support and decision-making basis for the new round of policy adjustment, formulation, and implementation [18].…”

“…Therefore, the popularity of bibliometric analysis as a significant scientific tool for assessing the production of scientific publications by using mathematical and statistical methods has grown significantly in recent years. Bibliometrics, as a branch of scientometrics, has been used in many fields of research, including: agriculture (Leković et al, 2020), economics (Dima, 2021;Popescu et al, 2022), finance (Nath & Chowdhury, 2021), mathematics (Lei et al, 2021) and many others. In the context of identifying the most relevant job performance determinants, this research seeks to highlight the current interest of researchers in the analysis of factors that influence employee performance or job performance through bibliometric analysis.…”

“…The first phase prepared the ground for the literature review by running a suitably configured database search on Scopus, the largest database of peer-reviewed literature (Nath and Chowdhury 2021 ). Both crowdfunding and health care domains were included in the search strings, joined by concept mapping and browsing through Thesaurus.com for synonyms, to ensure that the study’s inherent cross-disciplinarity was captured appropriately.…”
