Abstract:Hybrid semiconductor−superconductor nanowires have emerged as a cornerstone in modern quantum devices. Integrating such nanowires into hybrid devices typically requires extensive postgrowth processing which may affect device performance unfavorably. Here, we present a technique for in situ shadowing superconductors on nanowires and compare the structural and electronic properties of Al junctions formed by shadowing versus etching. Based on transmission electron microscopy, we find that typical etching procedur… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
