Abstract:Rice sheath blight disease is caused by the necrotrophic pathogen Rhizoctonia solani Kuhn (teleomorph; Thanatephorus cucumeris). Several studies have reported the disease suppression mechanisms in resistant varieties based on innate and systemic acquired resistance (SAR) mechanisms.
