Shock wave in a bubble flow with high gas content

Abstract: In this paper, we experimentally measure the shock wave width in a gas-fluid dispersive medium using the hot-film CTA, a speed video camera, PIV and a shadowgraph. We develop a method for determining the velocity of an optically nontransparent flow on various parts of the laboratory installation. The bubble breadown in a shock wave is confirmed experimentally.
