Abstract:This work presents a method for light pulse generation using microbubbles generated by cavitation in absorbent and non-absorbent solutions. The device was made by photodepositing silver and copper nanoparticles onto a multimode optical fiber. Immersing the fiber tip in ethanol or Hibiscus flower mixed in ethanol produced pulses ranging from 1 to 3 kHz and 1 to 2.8 kHz, respectively, with widths of 15-19 µs and 22-26 µs.
