Sickle Cell Disease Patients Demonstrate a High Willingness to Participate in Randomized Clinical Trials

Abstract: Background: African Americans are underrepresented in randomized clinical trials (RCTs). Underrepresentation of this patient group may lead to an inadequate analysis of therapy risks and benefits, and study findings may not be generalizable to a diverse patient population.
