Abstract:Two grit removal systems were tested side-by-side for the treatment of wastewater from a combined-sewer system. The two units were operated at constant flows and variable grit loads ranging from 1.2 to 745 Kg/m3 /h that covered the typical range of dry and wet weather conditions experienced at the treatment facility.
