SIFT based Dorsal Vein Recognition System for Cashless Treatment through Medical Insurance

Abstract: The time has come not to carry any physical personal identity. The person’s identity will be known by his/her biometric features for any purpose exclusively when the person is unconscious and not carrying any identity proof. Vein recognition system is leading biometric trait in terms of flexibility and security. The fake recognition of veins is almost impossible as the feature points lie underneath the skin and cannot be read without the knowledge of a person (if not unconscious). Most important thing about it… Show more

“…On the other hand, the free ICG-treated tail vein showed continuous flow like a moving (color) sample in the vein-visualizing IR camera (Figure f, right). It was because both possess an NIR-responsive ICG dye, which was detected by an NIR-based vein-imaging camera . However, free ICG could uniformly run when injected into the vein and exhibited a continuous flowing liquid on recorded images.…”

“…The mice received intravenously WFI, free ICG, and ICG-PTX-loaded liposome in the tail vein at the dose of 30 mg/kg (body weight). Then, the mouse tail veins were visualized under infrared light using a Vein finder VF620, where a small depth of penetration of infrared rays allows one to visualize superficially located (up to 1 cm depth) veins . The images were recorded from time to time for the assessment of different modes of distribution at the vein (tail vein).…”
