Signal Transmission and Representation Based on High Performance Event Timing

Abstract: Abstract. Specifics and advantages of using high performance event timing for signal transmission and representation in the time and frequency domains are described. The focus is on the methods and systems for energy-efficient computing of Discrete Fourier Transform based on replacing the sinusoidal basis functions by binary-valued rectangular functions. The sources of potential errors are revealed and methods for avoiding them are discussed and evaluated.
