Silent Sinus Syndrome: A Paediatric Condition Diagnosed in the Orthodontic Department

Abstract: Silent sinus syndrome (SSS) is defined as unilateral maxillary sinus hypoplasia and orbital floor resorption. This case report highlights a rare paediatric diagnosis of SSS during an orthodontic clinic. The diagnostic orthopantogram (OPG) and cone-beam computed tomography showed complete opacification of the left maxillary sinus.
