The residues of pyrethroids in foods of animal origin are dangerous to the consumers, so this study presented a chemiluminescence sensor for determination of pyrethroids in chicken samples. A dual-dummy-template molecularly imprinted polymer capable of recognizing 10 pyrethroids was synthesized. The results of computation simulation showed that the specific 3D conformations of the templates had important influences on the polymer's recognition ability. The polymer was used to prepare a sensor on conventional 96-well microplates, and the sample solution was added into the wells for direct absorption. The absorbed analytes were initiated with the bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)oxalate-H 2 O 2 -imidazole system, and the chemiluminescence intensity was used for analyte quantification. Results showed that one assay was finished within 12 min, and this sensor could be reused four times. The limits of detection for the 10 analytes were in the range o0.3-6.0 pg/ml, and the recoveries from the standards of fortified blank chicken samples were in the range 70.5-99.7%.

Chemiluminescence (CL) reactions have been widely employed and explored over the past 50 years because they offer unique light emission upon a defined chemical stimulus. In this Minireview, we focus on peroxyoxalate (PO) compounds because they feature very high quantum yields tuneable over the entire visible spectrum, allowing for visible‐light detection by the naked eye without the necessity for expensive analytical instruments. Although analytical methods have been extensively described, PO‐CL read‐out is a strongly emerging field with ample industrial potential. The state‐of‐the‐art PO‐CL detection read‐out systems for various key analytes is here explored. In particular, structural requirements, recent developments of PO‐CL read‐out probes and current limitations of selected examples are detailed. Furthermore, innovative approaches and synthetic routes to push the boundaries of PO‐CL reactions into biological systems are highlighted. Underpinned by recent contributions, we share perspectives on embedding PO‐CL molecules into polymeric materials, which they consider the next step in designing high performance solid‐phase read‐out systems.

In this study, a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) was synthesized using trichlorfon as a template molecule. The MIP exhibited a high adsorption capacity toward trichlorfon. Using bovine serum albumin as a carrier, trichlorfon hapten was indirectly labeled with luminol, which competed with free trichlorfon for the combination with a biomimetic antibody of MIP. Based on this direct competitive format, a high throughput flow-injection chemiluminescent biomimetic immunoassay method was developed for fast detection of trace trichlorfon. The influencing factors were investigated and optimized. Under the optimal condition, a lower limit of detection (IC 15) of 0.0024 mg/L was obtained using this method. This method was also used to detect the trichlorfon spiked in carrot and cabbage samples, and the results were also verified using the method of gas chromatography.
