Simple and efficient estimation of photovoltaic cells and modules parameters using approximation and correction technique

Abstract: The behavior of solar cells and modules under various operational conditions can be determined effectively when their intrinsic parameters are accurately estimated and used to simulate the current-voltage ( I-V ) characteristics. This work proposed a new computational approach based on approximation and correction technique (ACT) for simple and efficient extraction of solar cells and modules parameters from the single-diode model. In this technique, an approximated value of series resist… Show more

“…Penyelesaian model matematis PV secara numerik akan memberikan kemudahan dan kecepatan. Akan tetapi, ada parameter-parameter yang tidak diketahui dari model PV yang dapat diselesaikan secara analitik, seperti arus foton ( ℎ ), arus saturasi diode ( ), hambatan seri ( ), dan hambatan paralel ( ) [15]. Namun, dalam beberapa penelitian, dan ℎ diselesaikan dengan metode numerik [4], [8].…”

“…The performance of the proposed producer based on the optimization technique has been validated through estimating the model parameters of two PV cells which are R.T.C. France solar cell, PVM 752 GaAs thin-film cell [49,59] and two PV modules which are Photowatt-PWP201 module [49] and Leibold Solar Module (STE 20/100) [68]. The tests have occurred at the irradiance and temperatures of the datasheet of each other.…”

“…Furthermore, the production firms require assurance of the maximum power production from PV power plants. It is well known fact that the energy generation from PV power systems strongly depends on weather conditions, solar irradiance, and temperature [5][6][7]. Besides, these systems unavoidably undergo degradation along with the possible occurrence of electrical faults [8].…”
