Simple and secure thrombectomy involving peripheral pulmonary arteries for acute pulmonary embolism

Abstract: Background: Surgical pulmonary artery thrombectomy is a well-established emergency treatment for massive pulmonary embolism (PE) in which fibrinolysis or thrombolysis are not effective.
