Simulation of the Electric Field of a Point Source on the Relief Surface

Abstract: This research examines the numerical solutions to the direct problem of electrical impedance tomography for two-dimensional and three-dimensional media, taking into count the surface relief on the basis of the integral equations method. The results of the numerical modeling identify a distortion effect for vertical electrical sounding curves caused by relief surface and the apparent resistivity function along the relief surface is obtained.
