Abstract: Prediction of texture changes during cold rolling is important because they affect the recrystallization and anisotropy of an aluminum sheet during successive forming steps. During cold rolling of aluminum alloys, the through-thickness textural change in the subsurface layer depends heavily on the shear stresses exerted on the material.
