Simultaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture in a patient on hemodialysis: A case report

Abstract: Simultaneous bilateral quadriceps tendon rupture is an uncommon but disabling clinical entity that usually has an underlying cause of tendon weakening. We present a case of a 36-year-old male who presented with full-thickness tears of both quadriceps tendons following a fall on the knees and was found to have underlying calcific tendinopathy secondary to chronic kidney disease and hemodialysis.
