Simultaneous Determination of Gallic Acid, Ellagic Acid, and Eugenol inSyzygium aromaticumand Verification of Chemical Antagonistic Effect by the Combination withCurcuma aromaticaUsing Regression Analysis

Abstract: This study was designed to perform simultaneous determination of three reference compounds in Syzygium aromaticum (SA), gallic acid, ellagic acid, and eugenol, and to investigate the chemical antagonistic effect when combining Curcuma aromatica (CA) with SA, based on chromatographic analysis. The values of LODs and LOQs were 0.01–0.11 μg/mL and 0.03–0.36 μg/mL, respectively. The intraday and interday precisions were <3.0 of RSD values, and the recovery was in the range of 92.19–103.24%, with RSD values <3.0%. … Show more

“…Subsequently, HF was solubilized in acetonitrile (0.1 mg.mL − 1 ), and the solution was filtered through a 0.22 μm syringe filter before analysis by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on an Acella chromatograph (Thermo Scientific) coupled to the detector by diode array (PDA). Chromatography was performed according to Kim et al [23] with modifications. A reverse-phase column Shim-Pack CLC-ODS (M) C18 (25 cm × 4.6 mm) consisting of silica modified by octadecyl groups, with pores of 5.0 μm in diameter, maintained at 40°C was used.…”
