Abstract:
El síndrome de Stevens-Johnson (SSJ) se define como cuadro inflamatorio agudo, febril y autolimitado, durando aproximadamente dos a cuatro semanas, afecta la piel y mucosas, puede ser letal. Se caracteriza por reacciones potencialmente fatales resultado a hipersensibilidad de factores desencadenantes como: infecciones por virus, hongos, bacterias, enfermedades del tejido conectivo, neoplasias malignas, vacunas o medicamentos.
