Abstract:We theoretically investigate the high-order-harmonic generation (HHG) from solids by simulating the dynamics of a single active electron in a dielectric. Interband tunnelling is investigated, by which the harmonic generation can be modeled based on the classical trajectory analysis of electron-hole pairs. The supercontinuum region of the fundamental HHG plateau, whose intensity is about sevenorder magnitude enhancement as compared with that of the second plateau, is used in the generation of isolated attosecon… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
