Single dose antibiotic prophylaxis in elective obstetric and gynaecological surgeries-a descriptive study

Abstract: Background: Wound infection is a common complication of obstetric and gynaecological surgeries. It is not clear whether single dose perioperative prophylaxis with antibiotics is sufficient to prevent wound infections.
