Single pole dominance in ?-elastic and inelastic scattering from calcium isotopes

Abstract: The presence of a "zero-pole" in nuclear diagonal S-matrix was found to be dominant in both elastic and inelastic scattering angular distributions of e-particles (E--24 and 29 MeV) on Ca 4~nuclei. The inelastic scattering amplitudes were evaluated by making use of the derivative relation of Austern and Blair for one and two phonon excitation mechanism. Reduced matrix elements C1(I ) and deformation lengths BIR are derived. Consistent vibrational model description for Ca 4~ energy levels is presented.
